CREWSAVER UNVEILS A NEW ADDITION TO ITS POPULAR ATACAMA DRYSUIT RANGE

Leading Survitec brand Crewsaver has introduced to the leisure marine market a new full wet weather drysuit for those looking for the next level in on-water practicality and comfort.

The Atacama Sport+, which adds to Crewsaver’s ever-popular Atacama range, has been designed specifically to keep watersport enthusiasts dry and warm in chillier months.

To keep the wearer as dry as its namesake – the Atacama Desert, the driest place on earth – the drysuit incorporates a number of waterproof properties including Glideskin neoprene wrist and neck seals.

Crewsaver’s Design Manager Zach Williams explains: “We have also designed the drysuit from a three-layer, waterproof, breathable fabric which incorporates Cordura reinforcement in high wear areas such as the knees and seat for extra protection and improved durability.”

“The Atacama Sport+ has been engineered to keep you dry in all weather conditions which means you can get back out on (or in!) the water way ahead of the warmer months.”

The suit is designed with fabric socks and includes a free Stratum fleece for warmth. The articulated arm and leg design coupled with the elasticated waist and adjustable stretchy braces, ensures unrestricted movement.

Zach adds: “The Atacama Sport+ keeps you warm by protecting you from the wind and keeping the water at bay. However, it is also important to remember a drysuit is part of a wider system. Correct layering under a drysuit it essential for keeping you warm and smiling. Therefore, we developed a ‘onesie style’ fleece which we provide for free with the drysuit to get you started.”

Other features include a handy leg pocket with D-ring attachment, which is ideal for holding any essential items while out sailing. And with a YKK AQUASEAL® flexible front zip construction, the suit is easy to don.

The Atacama Sport+ drysuit goes on sale in early 2022 and is available from Crewsaver’s global network of stockists at a recommended retail price of £475.
