Seaborne Communications appoints Simon Gutteridge as Business Development Director
Specialist maritime communications consultancy Seaborne Communications has appointed Simon Gutteridge to the role of Business Development Director.
With more than thirty years experience in maritime sales and conferencing activities, Simon will be the driving force behind the continued expansion of the media relations and communications company.
“We are delighted that Simon has joined the team at Seaborne,” said Managing Director Patrik Wheater. “Simon brings a wealth of maritime sales and conference producing experience to the company along with a deep understanding of the issues and developments affecting this vitally important industry.
“Simon’s successful track record in developing and producing maritime technology-themed conferences will allow us to provide a greater level of service to our growing client base.”
“I’m excited to join Seaborne,” said Simon. “The company has made rapid progress in a relatively short period of time and I look forward to contributing to future success with new partnerships that will not only further enhance Seaborne’s portfolio, but help strengthen and support our clients in the global maritime market.”
Prior to joining Seaborne, Simon led the development of a range of technically focused events for the Institute of Marine, Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), as conference producer and sponsorship manager.
Simon began his career in maritime publishing with Benn Brothers before moving on to work with other leading B2B publishers including Dunn & Bradstreet and Lloyd’s of London Press, the then publisher of Lloyd’s List.
He was later appointed by Informa Group as Business Development Manager and SpEx Manager and Producer for Lloyd’s List Events.
