Working alongside a small but dedicated team based outside London, UK, close to Surbiton mainline station, the PR Manager could be a maritime journalist looking to move into PR or someone already working in an Agency looking for a new challenge. Technical PR/ journalism experience is desired.

Prime responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts
• Providing strategic counsel to clients in support of their communications campaigns
• Taking PR briefs and generating content for approval
• Proactivity in generating creative solutions ideas
• Building relationships with clients and key media contacts
• Analysing and monitoring media coverage
• Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Seaborne Communications, the specialist in maritime and technical PR and Communications, is looking to appoint a Commercial/Buisness Development Manager to optimise sales growth and create new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Managing Director, prime responsibilities include:

• New business generation by generating own leads and proposing solutions that lead to new PR accounts
• To identify decision makers and influencers across the maritime, leisure, energy and defence sectors
• To maintain databases and manage telephone and face-to-face meetings with prospective clients
• To sell digital advertising and conference delgations
• To support the commercial marketing activities of Seaborne clients
• Provide weekly feedback of sales activities
• Ensure potential and developing accounts are adequately referenced on our CRM system 

To succeed you will have:

• Confidence and motivation to pick up the phone, identify potential key clients, build relationships and close sales meetings 
• Ability to negotiate and a track record in creating revenue growth
• Sales experience within the news and media marketplace
• Good knowledge/interest in the PR marketplace
• Experience of selling to senior management and board level
• Experience in building new relationships and hunting new business
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to travel regularly
• Experience in the maritime industries would be desired

We are looking for a media-savvy intern to join our small but dedicated team based outside London, UK, close to Surbiton mainline station.

Our current team is passionate about the maritime industries and since our formation in 2015 is growing rapidly. We are looking for someone with a hands-on, can-do attitude to help create and execute PR projects and gain valuable insight into maritime and technical PR.

This supporting role requires an energetic individual that is eager to learn more about the world of PR and has at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 

Tasks include researching and assisting in event and PR planning while being trained to use PR technology and platforms and how to craft the perfect press release.
