Patrik Wheater, Managing Director

A technical shipping journalist, editor and PR director with 20 years’ experience, Patrik has a naval engineering background with the Royal Navy, after which he read History at Kingston before embarking on a career in maritime journalism and communications. He has lived and worked in Southeast Asia, where he regularly featured as a shipping industry analyst on Channel News Asia bulletins. He has an extensive network of media and industry contacts across all sectors of the global shipping and offshore marine sectors and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists.

Chris Marchington, Account Manager 

Having graduated from Jesus College Cambridge with an MA in English, Chris began his working life in publishing before moving into public relations, marketing and communications training. His PR experience to-date encompasses the arts, the music industry, the pharmaceutical sector and leisure marine. He has been involved in projects that have won BDMA (British Direct Marketing Award) Gold Prizes.

Bill Thomson, Journalist/Writer  

Following a career in engineering design, Bill entered marine technical journalism in the 1980s, working for recreational boating magazines. He then went on to edit some of the shipping industry's foremost titles, including The Motorship, Safety at Sea and Marine Propulsion International

With over twenty years' experience managing key accounts for Unilever followed by ten years as a High Level Teaching Assistant, Jacqueline ensures Seaborne Communications operates to optimum efficiency, managing all back-office administrative functions.
